Cape Town Wedding Planner Real Wedding: Family, Florals and Festivities at Cape Town Marquee Wedding

Cape Town Wedding Planner Real Wedding: Family, Florals and Festivities at Toni and Mark’s Cape Town Marquee Wedding

A highlight of being a Cape Town wedding planner is that with each new wedding comes a whole new world of ideas and inspiration. No two weddings are alike and it’s so exciting to see each new wedding unfold and the couple’s style come to life on the big day. This Cape Town wedding certainly had a unique wow factor, from the traditional ceremony in the opulent Greek Orthodox church in Woodstock, to the lively reception in a stunning flower-filled glass marquee in the bride’s parent’s garden in Noordhoek.

Toni and Mark told us that they wanted their wedding day to be a big, bold celebration of family, flowers, food and festivity – and so we brought together great service providers to deliver on that brief.

The super talented florist, Heike from Fleur le Cordeur created gorgeous floral installations that were spilling from the chandeliers and the candelabras, like something out of a floral daydream.

Friends and family were seated at long tables dressed with dramatic details and custom made stationery by Secret Diary Designs.

Something Different worked their magic with the lighting and Annalize Catering made sure the guests feasted on Mediterranean delights.

Everyone was entertained throughout with live music, an exotic belly dancer and a vibey DJ who made sure the dance floor was packed.

Those with a sweet tooth enjoyed a beautiful (and delicious) cake made by Wade’s Cakes and a dessert table filled with decadent treats.

Toni wore a golden gown with a long, bead-embellished bridal cape, which we thought was a unique alternative to the traditional veil. Her jewel-toned bouquet was extra large and filled with peonies – we were in love with it!

Toni’s bridesmaids were stunning in beaded black bodices paired with soft pink skirts, and bold floral headpieces.

Mark was smart in a black tuxedo, with his groomsmen in black suits.

Part of my job as a Cape Town wedding planner is being ready to solve any problems that might arise at the last minute. We had to act quickly in this case when, the night before the wedding, the power supply to the area was cut and we were told it could be out all weekend. We quickly arranged a power generator to make sure the wedding went perfectly to plan. Phew!
