Cape Town Wedding Planner Real Wedding: Picnic Perfection in Franschhoek
As Cape Town wedding planners, we are seeing more and more international couples choosing Cape Town as the location for their wedding day.
With its beautiful summer weather and its offering of spectacular mountain vistas and well equipped venues, you can’t go wrong with a Cape Town wedding.
Laura and Gar, an IT specialist and a conservationist from Australia, chose the picturesque Holden Manz in Franschhoek as their venue – a perfect setting for their laid back picnic-style wedding celebration.
The couple wanted a relaxed, casual wedding that really took advantage of the outdoor setting. With help from Puccini Creations on flowers and décor, our team of Cape Town wedding planners set up an outdoor ceremony area as well as some casual picnic spots and outdoor bars for the reception.
After the ceremony the guests enjoyed Haute Cabriere and wine popsicles in the shade of the trees, accompanied by the lovely sounds of a marimba band.
Laura and Gar, together with their bridal party took advantage of the late afternoon light for their photographs.
Laura was classically beautiful in a simple white dress, with sheer fabric and pretty buttons on the back. Her hair and makeup by Corle Barnard was soft and feminine.
Laura’s bridesmaids looked lovely in shades of coral, pink and burgundy.
In keeping with the picnic theme, all the food was canapés and small meals, served to guests at their picnic spots.
Later, everyone enjoyed the music of That DJ Guy and a four tier naked wedding cake by Wade’s Cakes.
