Cape Town Wedding Planner Reflection: Charm & Don’s Mauritian Wedding
We’re so excited to share the pictures we took from our own camera of one of our favourite weddings from last year, Charm and Don’s imtimate and romantic destination wedding on the island of Mauritius that took place on the sandy shore of a private beach with their nearest and dearest in attendance.
With an order of service like this, guests knew on arrival that they were in for a fun day and a good party!
One of our favorite things about this wedding was how the couple wanted nothing but a fun and relaxing day for them and their guests to celebrate their union. And what better and unique way to do this than to send themselves and their guests racing in the water behind a power boat during cocktail hour!
After all the heart racing fun in the water, the newlyweds took some time to soak in their surroundings during their very relaxed couple shoot on the beach.
We’ve really never seen such a relaxed and fun loving couple on their wedding day as these two and we just loved it!
After cocktail hour, guests took their seats at the outdoor reception for dinner at beautifully decorated tables, complete with stunning customised stationery…
…local sea shells…
…and guest favours which were little glass jars containing Mauritian sand collected on the day of the special wedding for guests to take home and treasure their wonderful memories of the occasion.
The tables were also adorned with pretty pink local flowers, all while honoring the couple’s request to keep it casual and simple.
But above all, our favourite part about this wedding was how the couple shared their first dance, on the beach with nothing but the moonlight behind them and their guests surrounding them – it doesn’t get more romantic than that!
