Cape Town Wedding: A Waterside Marquee at Webersburg
As Cape Town wedding planners we love it when an overseas couple chooses our beautiful city as the location for their wedding day. Danielle and James are a lovely couple from the UK who decided to celebrate their Cape Town wedding at the breathtaking Webersburg venue. Their initial plan was to use the indoor wedding venue, but closer to the big day they decided to take advantage of the stunning summer weather and outdoor scene, and opted for the setup of a transparent marquee instead.
Part of our jobs as Cape Town wedding planners is to pull off an exceptional Plan B at the last minute, and within a week we had an impressive marquee set up on the water’s edge for this magnificent wedding.
We worked with an excellent team to create a magical space for Danielle and James’ celebration. Chattels set up the transparent marquee, flooring and draping and Something Different did the hanging installations for foliage and effective naked light bulbs.
Blomstories topped everything off with truly exquisite hanging foliage, table florals and a showstopper of a floral wall, which was the backdrop to the main table.
Danielle and her beautiful bridesmaids, including her identical twin sister, got ready for the wedding at Webersburg.
Danielle wore a fairytale gown made of tulle and floral embroidery, finished with a feminine headpiece and dreamy veil. James was classically handsome in a smart black tuxedo.
Guests got a taste of our warm Cape Town summer as they enjoyed the outdoor wedding ceremony.
Bubbly and refreshing gin and tonics were served along with canapes for pre-drinks.
They moved into the marquee for the reception but were still able to enjoy the outdoor scene as the summer sun took its time to set.
Everyone was seated at long tables and celebrated the union of this lovely couple with delicious food, a decadent dessert table which included a wedding cake by Birdcage, Jagerbombs and great music by DJ Rene.
