Cape Town Wedding Planner Real Wedding: Secret Garden Beauty

As a Cape Town wedding planner, I’ve seen, attended, but mostly planned a good number of Cape Town weddings over the last nine years in this industry, and this has definitely been one of my favourite Cape Town weddings to date. Tania and Brendon’s Cape Town wedding was unique, bold, and oh so romantic! Our gorgeous couple hosted their wedding in the Cape Winelands which is always an excellent choice for a Cape Town wedding. The Cape Winelands area offers incredible views, beautiful wine farms, an abundance of good wine, other activities for guests to do while they are in the area, and world class accommodation, not to mention, stunning wedding venues like this one.

One of the many parts of this wedding that I loved so much, was how we completelly transformed this Cape Town wedding venue by filling up all the internal pillars with foliage and roses, creating an abundant garden feel all around and overhead, which paired beautifully with vintage chandeliers, giving the wedding look an art-deco edge. Rose gold and glass base plates were also used as an art-deco hint, and contrasted beautifully off the pale gray table clothes.

Long rectangular tables were used in order to have as many guests as possible sitting together, to create a fabulous family style dinner celebration.

The beautiful rose gold accents were also highlighted with rose gold cutlery and flower containers.

On entering this gorgeous Cape Town wedding reception space, guests used this fabulous ornate seating chart, wrapped in vine, to find their seats.

Another one of my favourite details at this wedding was the art-deco style cake, by Sweet Lion Heart.

Other delicate finishes included detailed cut-glass candle holders, also with rose gold touches.

Cocktail hour for this Cape Town wedding was held outside on the deck, and decorated with geometric rose gold decor to continue the art-deco theme beautifully.

Our beautiful bride got ready on site, and looked a dream in tulle and lace before walking down the aisle.

… and of course our bride did the walking in her Jimmy Choos.

Our handsome groom was also dressed to the nines and ready for the proceedings to begin in a classic bowtie.

Signs were placed around the venue to welcome guests before the ceremony, in an art deco style font.

The ceremony was kicked off with the cutest and sweetest entrance by a petal-scattering flower girl.

Vows were shared and tears were shed at this beautiful Cape Town wedding ceremony.

The bride and groom shared their first kiss.

…as their guests cheered on.

This Cape Town wedding ceremony was sentimental, and some emotional moments were shared by all. …but finished on a high note as the groom crushed the glass to officially end the proceedings and start the celebrations!

Guests at this Cape Town wedding showered the newlyweds with flower confetti to share their well wishes.

….and cocktail hour was kicked off with music from one of Cape Town’s top wedding string quartets.

Guests enjoyed cocktails and canapes while the couple slipped out for some sunset pictures during their couple shoot.

I especially loved how creative and arty this shot of the sunlight shining through the bride’s dress turned out.

These beautiful Cape Town wedding pictures were taken during gorgeous golden hour, that special time when the sun has set enough for the natural light to be low so the candles and chandeliers can start shining, but not dark enough to miss anything, as you can see in this stunning shot of the vintage chandeliers suspended by foliage covered chains below.

Even the guests looked gorgeous among the beautiful flowers and decor at this Cape Town wedding.

The wedding speeches were sentimental and meaningful.

…and ended with a grand cheers from all the guests.

This Cape Town wedding venue looked just as gorgeous from the outside, once the sun had finally set.

Once dinner was finished, it was time for the cutting of the cake, and oh so romantic first dance.
