Cape Town Wedding Planner Reflection: Kim and Nic’s Wedding at Kleinevalleij
This lovely wedding couple, Nic and Kim, are both doctors with very busy schedules and so they called on our team of Cape Town wedding planners to help them plan and coordinate their big day, and we are so glad they did! This Cape Town wedding is the perfect example of cool and classic elegance against a beautiful mountain backdrop.
Kim and Nic chose the breathtaking wedding venue of Kleinevalleij, near Wellington in the Boland. This purpose-built wedding venue gave the couple and their guests the wonderful experience of a stunning outdoor ceremony, surrounded by impressive mountain ranges, an expansive lawn for relaxation and games during pre drinks and canapes, and a classic veranda for striking photo opportunities. As a Cape Town wedding planner I love discovering venues that offer so much in one unique setting, and this one definitely didn’t disappoint.
The theme of the wedding was bold, yet elegant in a classic colour palette of navy, gold and blush.
The theme came to life with the use of custom designed wedding stationery by Secret Diary…
and personalised table setting elements, like the guest favours and monogrammed napkins.
Kim looked classically beautiful in an elegant dress with an illusion neckline, with her hair pulled back into a soft bun.
The bridesmaids wore perfect navy in different styles according to their individual preferences.
Nic looked handsome in a smart navy suit, contrasting nicely with his groomsmen in grey.
One of the highlights of being a Cape Town wedding planner is seeing the elements of fun that a couple incorporate to give their wedding a personal touch. Nic and Kim opted for his-and-hers signature cocktails…..
…. and, since neither of them has a sweet tooth, they chose to go for a cheese tower instead of cake – yum!
