Cape Town Wedding Planner Reflection: Sarah & Andrew’s Romantic Rendevous at Buitenverwachting

Our whole Cape Town wedding planner team have been sooo excited to share this blog post, about Sarah and Andrew’s stunning wedding. These pictures that we couldn’t wait to share with you below are a Cape Town wedding planner’s dream; how could they not be, when they combine a gorgeous couple with a gorgeous wedding, at a perfect venue!

Sarah and Andrew have been together for over a decade and their love for each other is immediately apparent when meeting them. They are both yachties; Sarah is a chef and Andrew is a captain, so they travel the world and are constantly exploring new places together – how romantic?!

I loved that the couple chose a stunning venue that was close to home and easy for their local and international wedding guests to get to. Buitenverwachting is set on the Klein Constantia Estate in the heart of the Constantia winelands, and is only a 30 minute drive from the Cape Town city centre. The venue boasts rolling hills of vines, horses, picnics, wine tastings, and an incredible, fine dining restaurant.

This classy Cape Town wedding venue was then dressed up in white baby’s breath and  illuminated with fairy lights and candle light, which bounced off some perfectly placed gold items throughout the room.

It was the touches of pink, brought in through the custom designed stationery from Secret Diary that brought the whole reception together beautifully.

Personally, my absolute favourite part of the reception setup was most definitely one of the most incredibly elegant wedding cakes I’ve ever seen; a four-tiered white tower of beauty, adorned with large pink flowers and dusted with sparkles of gold, topped with a laser cut gold cake topper, also from Secret Diary. For our whole Cape Town wedding planner team, it was just the perfect combination of pretty and classy.

Sarah chose a haute couture style wedding dress with a twirly high-low skirt and paired it perfectly with a set of dusty pink Valentino heals.

The flower girls were too sweet for words, dressed in white little dresses and topped with adorable baby’s breath flower crowns.

The ceremony was held on the Buitenverwachting Picnic Lawn, in front of a giant oak tree, and was set up using gold tiffany chairs, with a large white arch, made entirely out of baby’s breath, where the couple stood and shared their vows.

As the cutest possible introduction to the bride walking down the aisle, the two flower girls lead the way by throwing white rose petals on the ground for the bride to walk on behind them.

After the couple had signed the register and were officially and legally married, they were surrounded by their closest loved ones, who showered them with rose petal confetti to congratulate them on their new journey ahead.

Then it was time for one of our favourite photographers, Catherine Mac, to get some shots of the bridal party (can you spot ME in there!?).

And then some beautifully romantic couple shoot pics.

A magical evening of love and laughter, started with a very special cake cutting, and the rest, as they say, is history!

All in a day’s work for our experienced Cape Town wedding planner team!

Until next time,
