Cape Town Wedding Planner Reflection: Our Top 8 Favourite Bridal Bouquets From Our Own Weddings
Any Cape Town wedding planner will tell you, that the bridal, bouquet needs to be absolutely perfect! Not only is it in the centre of most of a couple’s wedding pictures, but the bride’s bouquet needs to be a perfect balance between holding up to the beauty of the bride, while not overpowering it or pulling focus.
A bridal bouquet’s purpose stems from centuries ago when brides carried strong smelling herbs and spices while walking down the aisle to ward off evil spirits. Another theory is that brides carried sweet smelling flowers in order to smell sweet for their grooms. Either way, as a Cape Town wedding planner, I have seen some exquisite bridal bouquets at our weddings over the years, and here are some of our favourites:
1. The Bold Bridal Bouquet
This gorgeous bride’s bouquet was made for Toni and Mark’s wedding, by Fleur le Cordeur, with stunning imported peonies, roses and local flowers.
2. The Elegant Bouquet
This stunning bridal bouquet was made for Jackie and Mark’s wedding at La Residence, with a combination of crisp white orchids, and soft pink hydrangeas by Aspen and Co.
3. The Natural Bouquet
This natural bouquet, draped in an organic shape with roses and greenery, was made for Laura and Michael’s wedding at Babylonstoren by To-Nett’s.
4. The Pretty in Pink Bouquet
This bride’s bouquet was made with beautiful soft pink roses and snapdragons for Sarah and Steve’s wedding at Grande Roche by To-Nett’s.
5. The Peony Bouquet
This bridal bouquet was made with a contrasting combination of soft peonies and dry olive tree leaves for Sarah and Marcel’s wedding at Boschendal.
6. The Perfectly Pink Bouquet
This perfectly formed bride’s bouquet with perfect soft pink roses was made for Danielle and Warren’s wedding at Waterkloof Estate by Blooming Décor.
7. The Modern Bridal Bouquet
This modern bride’s bouquet was made with white tulips, white roses and silver brunia by To-Nett’s for Lynda and Lincoln’s wedding at Vrede en Lust.
